Goldlog came about in 2003 as a acoustic solo act. Under the name ”this boys band” Ian pre recorded what later became known as ”The Snug”. Not being totally comfy with his own vocals, he invited Ingjerd to lay down the vocals for “The Snug”. This was the start of what now is the sounding core of GOLDLOG.

The following two years “this boys band” became a five piece line up, featuring Ingjerd, Ian, Ove, Frode and Kenneth. All five connected to the scene of Kristiansand Rock City, and associated in various acts including: Green Carnation, NUD, Trail of Tears, Hot Little Mama, Ronnie Jacobsen, Thy 2nd. Eye and more… Preparing for their first recording a dialog concerning the release was established with Karmakosmetix records executive director Jancki. An agreement was made with a commandment to rename the band. “this boys band” gathered a table in their local bar… and left as GOLDLOG.

The recording of “Snug as a bug in a rug” was situated in three locations within a two years period. The three different chapters are recorded and produced as three equal independent ep’s.

Starting out with “The Snug”, Ingjerd and Ian worked with Sordal (Angels Motel). The balance of acoustics, naive electronics and Ingjerds vocals all tuned thru Sordals ears and heart. Located in the basement of the local slaughterhouse, the recordings took place late 2003.
“The Bug” presents the influence of Ove. Finnishing up the first tour as GOLDLOG, the band situated themselves in the Norwegian woods of Finsland. In a midsummer fortnight all “The Rug” tracking was laid down except for a few vocal lines. All sounds was cared for by Ove, witch continued “The Bug” as the preparation for “The Rug” started autumn 2004.
To finish the debut album GOLDLOG hooked up with Endre Kirkesola in dub Studios, for tracking of “The Rug”. This segment of the album also features the lovely cello of Sarah Höygilt. The core of this live in studio recording presents as an acoustic quartet. The one take session was then put in the hands of Sordal witch added the spices that guides us to “The END”.
“Snug as a Bug in a Rug” was released the 11. Of july 2005, and followed by a three weeks tour of Norway. The tour included the Molde international Jazzfestival, and received a five-eyed dice in VG.

GOLDLOG continued touring “Snug as a Bug in a Rug” throughout 2006-07, with appearances at the Quartfestival and the “The Bug” tour.

In-between stage appearances and pre productions of what we now know as “Evil Clown Friendly Ghost”, GOLDLOG has joined forces with Scandinavian Collaboration Tour (SCT). The Tour is a root based indie collaboration where the bands introduce their audience to the other collaborating bands. Summer of 2009 presented Vol. I of the Tour and featured Danish Bel Esprit and GOLDLOG. Vol. II of SCT is sett to August – September 2010, and includes Swedish Obliq to the line up.

GOLDLOG started the journey of “Evil Clown Friendly Ghost” as early as may 2007. Dub studios served the band well once again tracking for some of the songs of the forthcoming album… and started to take shape autumn 2009. The band decided to use Brown Sound Studio as locations for tracking. Kenneth and Ian teamed up cold weekends throughout the winter shaping the sound blanket of ECFG. Under the blanket we find 10 songs with the sounds of all of GOLDLOG. The quintet presents themselves again with “Evil Clown Friendly Ghost”.
